Rachel Namiiro

Midwife

Rachel has been affiliated with K4C since 2015, at which point she was completing her midwifery certificate at Fort Portal International Nursing School. She was subsequently supported by K4C to undertake her diploma in midwifery at Mengo School of Nursing and Midwifery which she completed in December 2018.

Rachel is now a fully-fledged member of the K4C team; she is currently focusing on K4C’s Antimicrobial Resistance project running at Fort Portal Regional Referral Hospital, aiming to reduce levels of maternal mortality due to puerperal sepsis. She has also supported the cervical cancer screening project and has been involved in supervising midwifery students completing their elective placements with K4C in Uganda.
